## Project Details

A Yonge Street plaza manager was paying for the same adjustment on three entrance doors every winter. Worn offset pivots let the doors drop until they dragged on the threshold, and the closers and locks suffered as a result.

### Scope

-   Remove worn offset pivots on three aluminum entrance doors
-   Install full-height continuous geared hinges matched to the stile and finish
-   Re-set closers for traffic and wind once the doors hung true
-   Clear and reset thresholds so the doors closed flush

### Outcome

All three doors were converted in one morning while tenants stayed open. The plaza went through the following winter without a single sag complaint, and the manager booked the same conversion for a second plaza.

### Why it worked

Replacing pivots like-for-like would have bought one more season. A continuous geared hinge spreads the door’s weight along its full height, which is what finally ended the repeat calls.
